Sorry to bring up another literary name but you might know Nikos Kazantzakis, the author of, inter alia, "Zorba The Greek."
He visited a friend of his in a nearby village one day and the friend's family was gossiping about a "dirty old man" in the town who spent all his days near the well and "perved" on the village girls that came to draw water. Kazantzakis became curious about this and the next day he went to the well. True enough, the old man was sitting at a nearby bench and was watching the girls, who by now, knew all about him and teased him, giggling and laughing as they looked the other way.
Kazantzakis approached the man who looked like he was in his nineties and asked him, "Still thirsty, old man?"
The old man's eyes widened wildly and said, "Of course I am and the devil take the man who's stopped being thirsty!"

Couldn't resist mentioning this story... the power of sex, ey?
