Mr. Hélcio Guerra, has been Deputy Chief Operating Officer of International at AngloGold Ashanti Limited since February 1, 2016. Mr. Guerra serves as Senior Vice President of Americas region at International at AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. Mr. Guerra has over 30 years’ experience in the Brazilian resources industry. His prior roles include as Vice-President of AngloGold Ashanti’s operations in the Americas and several senior roles with Brazilian giant Vale including as Director of Vale’s Industrial Minerals and Precious Metals Department. Mr. Guerra served as a Non Executive Director of Orinoco Gold Limited since April 27, 2017 until October 30, 2018. He is a Member of several Brazilian business and industry bodies including the Brazilian Mining Association Advisory Board (IBRAM) and has built extensive networks in both government and non-government entities. Mr. Guerra is a Mining Engineer.
