They don't over-complicate things. Selling makes sense as they got their shares for 3 cents and the price has been and still is currently above that.
If they share prices goes up from here, they win. If the share price goes down from here, they win.
A deal allowing them to pick 5 days in any of the last 20 is either desperate or incompetent, I won't speculate on which one.
