What i want to know is, is there enough Li on this planet to power over 1 BILLION+ cars plus the billions of home battery storage ?
Is there enough H2O on this planet to mine all this Li, that wont contaminate our water source.
Then there's the 20yr number you state, will the car last 20 years, then there's infrastructure issues in car park buildings, roads, Lets say each ev weighs 1/t more than a fossil car, will a car park level holding 100 to 200 cars be able to absorb 100 to 200 tonnes capacity, will my local westfield rooftop car park end up in the cinema's....lol
Li is ok at this moment as only 1% of cars are EV, the long term infinite power source will be Hydrogen powered.
As the world population grows there will be room for all 4 sources, oil, nuclear, ev and hydro.
Look at china for example, more and more ev cars being sold but they are also using more and more fossil fuels as in gas.
