You seem to think everything stops when it rains . No it doesn't . At least not in Melbourne .
NAG will also have testing and operational costs too . From their announcements they want a barge and a conveyor belt . Then there's the transportation issue that the rampers have ignored for years . 280K's round trip . Take into account traffic , testing and weighing of load , wash down and rest break it's unlikely each truck could do more than one load per day , 2 max. That's a huge waste of equipment and and man hours just driving up the Hume.
Much more efficient if each rig can do 3 or 4 loads each day . Obvious .
BTW No PASS from NEL . Geological maps of Melb. are readily available on the internet . Not a chance in hell of any PASS in the NEL .

Acid sulfate soils

- were originally deposited in shallow marine or estuarine environments, often appearing as soft, black, dark grey or dark greenish-grey muds.
- are below or above high tide level, but generally between 5 and 20 m AHD2.
