I think some of you here are missing my point, manny ppl see retirees as insignificant. This has the potential to cause serious repercussions within the economy, what Im saying is that inflation needs to be kept under control and standard of living needs to be maintained for all not just the privledged.
Failure to maintain a resonable standard of living for retirees will create very serious problems within the economy.
It is quite often old money that keeps an economy going when times are tough. Loss of retirees money from australia will serverely effect company profits.
