Marindi has been staking a significant amount of land in the Paterson region. The numbers indicate the first, second, and third staking efforts.
1: Marindi already owned a significant amount of land around the Kintyre uranium deposit, this was expanded
2. Marindi staked near Citadel
3. Marindi staked south of the national park
In all three cases Marindi borders FMG, and in the case of staking effort number 2 they border Antipa and Rio Tinto too.
Very smart moves in my opinion. If Rio Tinto reveals its find in Paterson, the companies that own prospective land will get a rerating.
Marindi does not have a JV with any company yet for these tenements. I expect that the majors will express interest if Rio Tinto's discovery is significant, and if Marindi has tenements that are worthwhile exploring (which I think they do).
The land surrounding the Kintyre deposit seems especially worthwhile spending exploration dollars on.
