Is there anybody who has seen this before? Like, history repeats itself, right? Why are we getting so badly shorted? I mean, these guys are not silly. They are very smart money making people. Why wouldn't they risk their money with other stocks atm that have a much greater chance of going down?

After all, PLS is no longer speculative. We are producing, all products are sold, the price and the production costs are reasonably well known, and even if the recovery rate that one of our learned posters speculated so much about a few weeks ago was really bad, PLS would have to update the market, right? Like I mean, they could not let a few informed dudes get away with having that knowledge. Would go totally against every grain of the whole PLS and KB style and philosophy.

So, if we are not eg a Tesla where there is much narrative either way and it could go down or up, why then is there so much short interest in us?

Yes, we still have only one single mine and a single processing line. Are they betting that this is too great a risk and that at some stage something will go wrong and stuff us up badly? My thinking is, that yes, that will happen but it is part of the business. We fix and continue on.

Are they betting on a big weather event? If so, wouldn't we then see temporary shorts as soon as there was one on the radar?

So that leaves the TO option discussed today. Could this shorting indeed be instigated by a possible interested party to keep the price down? But how would that work? Wouldn't anybody looking at a TO still have to front up with what ppl would generally consider a min fair value for PLS - which atm most certainly is not related to the current SP. Thus whether the SP was $0.84 right now or $1.20 - would it really change the TO price? And indeed, wouldn't it be very risky in that as soon the slightest TO rumour would emerge the SP, esp with the coil so wound up, could really jump very quickly and burn them?

Is it shorters still trying to cover their positions waiting to get out?

If none of the above whan then?

Would really like to hear from the more experienced ones who have around for a while whether they have seen similar things and what explanation there may be why PLS is still getting so badly shorted?

Or are we p.. into each other pockets by blaming shorters when it is just "the market"?
