I'm just a random sample of one, I've no on the ground knowledge and have only the press to read. Burma of old was prosperous now it just populous. 57M plus and growing rapidly.
The military history of Myanmar spans over a millennium, and is one of the main factors that have shaped the history of the country and why this resource has not been developed and mined years ago.
Kaylen is correct with all the positive tracking and that’s why I’m watching. And I didn’t mean to be negative or down ramping in nature with my post. There are clear signs of change in Myanmar but that doesn’t necessarily present in open free politics, nor prevent a little ethnic cleansing or genocide for that matter, it would seem.
I had a touch of a similar situation (speculative sovereign risk) with a resource of over $USD1B in gold with credits in Cu etc which meant for gold to flow free of any mining costs. First elected government, in need of cash for development, first class company doing development, funding in place including prepurchase of critical components, and new mining investment friendly regulations. Long story short company ran out of cash waiting for approvals and had to exit via a sale and new owner 10 years later still sits on gold in the ground still dependent on whims of Government actually to action their policies.
With MYL all the stars appear to be aligning, and so do Myanmar’s, and that’s why I’m studying, ita just my personal opinion that others may perceive far greater sovereign risk than others, until there is some further development of the mine and people can see a path for profits to be made and also extracted out of Myanmar. Hence price might bounce about but flat line a bit despite exemplary drilling results. Personally, I will be studying the drill results with great interest as these will impact the critical stake holders who will want to accelerate the mine developments as the resource size and confidence improve.
