Yes, SF, the level of ignorance out there is *&^%$ palpable. Just been arguing with cave dweller in the economics forum who is convinced that an EV battery will go flat within 100kms if you use the aircon, and sat-nav. And that mining lithium and additional copper will cause more pollution than fossil fuels. It would seem that the right wing Trumpian, banjo playing, climate change denier types see EVs/batteries as the devil incarnate or some kind of communist plot. I should tell them I've got a few pre-owned donkey's for sale that they might be more comfortable riding. Or they can burrow one. Not much pollution, but are as slow as their IQs.
