1. To be honest, nobody has been debating the science. Many are trying to infer scientific arguments with no evidence though (i.e. misreading previous * articles). Unless one is a reputable, known source, any HC posters opinion is really rendered mute.
2. How do you know there are no results? Why are you investing if there are 'no results'?
3. The last annual report shows income (albeit not cash) & significant investment moving forward. You cannot complain about contract amounts for directors on the basis of 'very little progress' and then continue to make note of the fully changing the business direction & activity. You then say you have no problem rewarding them for their work.. seems to me you have somewhat defeated your own argument.
4. Of course they jumped on the MM train. They've adapted. Opportunistic, strategic.. tomatoe, tomato. It's all the same when investing. Again, would you have invested if they didn't do this? In fact they were one of the first to adapt, and you will never again see a public mining explorer in this country transform into a MM company. That I guarantee you.
This move, which was made over 6 months prior to the hemp legalisation, was one which put them in alot of peoples good books - they got in at the right time. And they paid a very good price for the initial 55% of MCL acquired. The balance 45%... not so much. But effectively they've had their hand forced on this from the ASX I believe.
5. If performance is measured on income only what percentage of income do you give them? When does this cap out? Technically there was over $3m 'income' in the annual report, so how much should they get of that?
You cannot measure performance on an income metric standalone. I honestly believe that is ludicrous. Regardless of who the director is, they're not going to work for nothing. That's essentially what you're asking them to do, or so it sounds to me.
In my opinion the Medcan directors are some of the smartest around, as they're taking fixed amounts of shares in lieu of management fees cash. They're almost doing what you're asking. But put it together.. they know income will come along, the share price will jump and their 'fixed' amount of shares will be worth much more than any metric measured against just income. The problem will then be, however, that the value of the shares per quarter to Medcan directors in dollar terms will probably get in the $500,000+ mark one day, and then we will start hearing how they're 'overpaid'..
Won't touch the comment on rent. Is what it is.
6. If you're unconvinced our directors are willing to personally invest capital I suggest you re-read the previous announcements. They (directors collectively) are subscribing for 25 MILLION shares at 3.5c/each.. that's $875,000. I would counter your comment completely on this basis.
Apologies in advance mate, as some of this sounds condescending. Not meaning to sound that way, truely - just rather sleep deprived and don't think my eyes will last long enough to re-word it.
