At least you had a red hot go at logic Pear but miss the context well....
As for Hitler sorry to pick on your bosom buddy
Well who knows maybe you can get a chance to
ask him yourself why people were so down on him
I am sure he will appreciate the support.
At least I try and use logic.
So we can anglicise Jesus and Jew but not Jehovah? That is really logical.
As for Hitler, are you denying that according to the fairy tales you believe in, God used other nations to punish the Jews when they got naughty? Do you want me to post and copy the relevant passages (you have noted them before yourself, so don't get cute). So what proof can you offer that Hitler was not God's instrument as he has used others in the past? Seems straightforward to me, a repeat of Babylon and Persians, followed by the Jews returning to their so called promised land.
As for people being so down on old Adolph, you really are living in past. Religious nutters and right wing nutters world wide are crying for his return. But this time they want a final solution for the Muslims.

I suppose some English speakers think it's OK to anglicise (or is it anglicize since we love to embrace American English) names. As far as I know JWs insist on the anglicised version of their God, Jehovah, in all languages but are not as fussy with Jesus. Maybe, Jesus as a mere Archangel is not so important and is after all not an American like his Daddy.
Some English speakers still love to mispronounce names from Afghanistan to Xhosa, and Zebra. But that's OK because the sun never set on the British Empire in the lifetime of the current reigning monarch.
