Amber: "To the markets now and shares in the troubled Centro Properties Group have been suspended from trade this morning. For more I am joined by Juliette Saly from Commsec. Good morning Juliette, what's behind the trading halt?"
Juliette Saly: "Well Amber, Centro has requested the trading halt pending an announcement ahead of a deadline later today to repay $2.8 billion worth of debt. Now last week Centro was granted a one week reprieve, but it's understood that one of the backers may have walked away and that has left Centro scrambling for more time. Centro shares last traded at 47 cents. Amber, this time last year they were worth $9.88."
Amber: "Big difference there."
