Stock market manipulation, page-156

Today another one share sold at 12.5 cents gets the SP down. I know how this type of activity affects my ARV holding however I was wondering how widespread it is and how it affects the overall Sharemarket and in particular my Superannuation funds?

I'm not a member of an association such as the Australian Shareholders association but I wonder what their opinion is on automated trading? Most of the major manipulation occurs on the opening and/or closing auctions so I was wondering if any association has ever made a push or argument for automated trading to be banned for up to 30 minutes after opening and 30 minutes before closing. The ASX says that automated trading assists with liquidity so if that's the reason it's allowed it won't matter if its not operating on the opening and closing auctions, will it?
