Nobody wants to advise you in case there is some whacky, never before seen rule that appears in the SPP docs. The record date is today, so the ex entitlement date will be today, based on two days settlement, and so you can sell IMO.
Just bear in mind that this looks to be a "mates" cap raise for a select group of fortunates, and you will probably get scaled back severely on the SPP, especially if the share price goes up IMO. Renounceable, pro rata offers are the only fair ones, for a big liquid stock like this, and also they don't lead to a share price discount due to investors factoring in dilution from unfair cap raises IMO.
I always knock 5% off the val if I see these kinds of cap raises. At least they offered an SPP to the plebs to fight over in the mud. They might allow the SPP to be oversubbed if they get enough cranky feedback from Shareholders, or if the chairman feels particular happy at a particular moment.
