Well all hail to the sage of all things LNG.

Following is what I posted in Aug ... and it is followed by your reply. Last time I looked, I am still free to post my beliefs re this stock just as you are ... and my beliefs are based on my research ... not yours which seem to be mostly incessant repeatings of what GV might have said in the past.
Your views are coloured by a very jaundiced view of LNG because of the huge losses you've made by selling out most of your holdings and I'm sure you feel vindicated whenever the share price falls. However I am in no doubt that the global outlook for LNG has changed hugely for the better and that Magnolia will eventually succeed. Anyway, may you enjoy your retirement and for your sake ... may the BTA's never be signed.

"You've suggested in the past I haven't done any research ... or at least that thoughts I may express on here are not based on research. So I thought I might point out my history with this stock which forms the basis for my posts.

I first bought this stock when it was 30c because I liked the potential based on my research ... and rode it all the way to $5 before selling out in the $3 range. I kept watching this stock however because I figured one day it will rise again when conditions improve.

As the approvals rolled in I began buying again ... firstly in the 60c range and more as it dropped to the 40c range. Why? because I liked the fundamentals of the company based on my research. When Stonepeak reaffirmed their support for LNG in July last year that was a further buy signal for me and I have held ever since.

There have since been ample signs the global outlook for LNG is on the improve ... not least of which is China's push for cleaner energy. Endless articles have been posted on here showing a renewed optimism by observers of the global LNG market pointing out that the LNG glut was or will be a thing of the past ... observers who write their opinions based on research. I read them avidly and continue to hold because I believe LNG's shovel ready situation places it in a prime position to take advantage of the global turn around. Fundamentals again.

I am very happy with my research and when I post comments on here re what I think might happen with LNG ... it's based on having followed this stock for years, read everything I could and thankfully being well in the black as a result. I've made one ten bagger out of LNG and I think I will again.

I assure you I'm not saying this to brag ... just pointing out that you may be wrong when you accuse other posters of not being well researched when they happen to have a rosier outlook on LNG's future than you do. I also want to say I feel for you because you sold out at a considerable loss when the share price was a lot lower than it is now. I never wish ill of anyone or gloat when others make a loss. We buy into a stock because we believe we will make money and when unforeseen circumstances arise that cause the bottom to fall out ... well, that's just plain unlucky and painful. For instance, who would have thought the price of oil would drop from $100 plus per barrel to the twenties?

If you believe BTA's will be signed you keep holding or accumulate. What I do know is that if you wait till BTA's are signed then sure ... you will be buying with much less risk however you'll also be paying an awful lot more for them and holding a lot less. My research tells me the odds are very much more in favour of BTA's being signed than not ... so I continue to hold. This current bout of sustained buying tells me plenty of others share the same opinion. That's not to say there still won't be good sized fluctuations as profits are taken (as we have seen today for instance) ... but the trend is definitely on the up ... and not because of a fake take over rumour as has happened in the past.

So let's just agree to disagree. I know in an earlier post I mentioned your bagging of management was getting 'tiresome'. That was wrong of me. You continue to post your thoughts as you see fit as this is a forum for everyone's thoughts. None of know for sure what the outcome for LNG will be ... we place our bets according to our analysis of the research we do and interpretation of the information we read. Peace and good luck.

    Your reply:

mcm I like your post very much, thanks for taking the time to respond, great post and great read!!!!

From the 02/08 to the 03/08 the price of natural gas went from t$2.75 to $2.87, then up to $2.90 on the 07/08. Today it was up to $2.95 and it's been a good run up from $2.71 on the 24/07. I don't know how many people factor the commodity price into the share price, but a similar thing happened on its way to $0.70 in January.

No doubt things are looking good at the moment, we've been here many times before based on conjecture. Not putting a negative spin on this mc, just saying what's fact.

I really appreciate your post, it's a beauty and I apologise for all the shots I've fired your way, will look at your posts in a completely new light!!!!

Good luck to you too mate!!!!
