Some CEO’s leave at the top of their game, for example Nicholas Moore at Macquarie Bank, Michael Chaney at Wesfarmers. Sindel is viewed as a very good CEO and that’s why CSR is in great shape and will be debt free after the Viridian disposal.

Let’s hope CSR has a great succession plan.

We are also blessed to have John Gillan as Chairman of the board. He was the driver of the successful Bunnings business and worked under Michael Chaney who is considered a great businessman.

So no need to panic. Let us be curious about the new CEO recruitment process.

As an aside my son works in construction and says CSR is very innovative with its new products and building systems and a very reliable supplier of its range of products.
