Perhaps check the grade on the chart or in most recent resource updates for each again. Very similar overall grades.
AVL has an outstanding HG zone at 1% and both have very low 4's opex at worst. TMT central pit is the pick of the strike, 10% better again so far - next update in Jan will confirm if this is a statistical anomaly from fewer drill holes or legitimate. Mining is approx 30% opex so 10% of that is only a 3% theoretical cost difference = 10c or so anyway.
Both yet to put current resource upgrade in chart format but will have 25-30 year mine lives before extending drilling lengthwise or considering following the deposit deeper - open at depth the length of the strike. Multi-generational potential.
