Yeah I agree there is a definite different feel about the SP action this week. NeilN is right that it undoubtedly is a direct result of the publicity. But this time with Rann up there it has a bit of weight to it, esp with the much discussed SA power shortage issues.

Even though it is driven by the media exposure, there may well be a tipping point where the word of mouth/email/internet etc means the knowledge of geothermal rises in the collective consciousness to a point where the share price follows quicksmart. I hope if it happens it is also in an orderly manner... and not boom bust

I am still chewing over our discissions on the SPP with no definite answers forming. I liked Bernards point about 'locking in' peoples shares bought explicitly for obtaining entitlements, but when I think about it if you bought a minimum parcel the brokerage on exiting them separately from waiting for the SPP shares to list really make that unlikely /uneconomic ??

Also another point occurs to me... you have to have the same number of shares in June to get the options as you held at entitlement date ie 30 Apr. If you have sold shares now taking a profit, there is nothing to stop you repurchasing shares prior to the deadline according to my reading to reobtain the entitlement. So as this date approaches and if the SP is near or above $2, there is a motivation to repurchase to get the options. Everyone else is holding on to get their options. Hence there may really be a real stock shortage... just a theory and we'll see how the next 5 weeks pans out, esp just prior to option entitlement...
