This is the myth about Buffett that value investors like promoting.
The Buffett Myth is one which also needs debunking.
Bill Dunn, a celebrated trend following trader, has returned 24% over 28 years. (Reported in Michael Covel’s ‘Trend Following: How Great Traders Make Millions in Up or Down Markets‘.) Bill Dunn's returns are closely correlated with other successful trend followers.
Ed Seykota returned just under 60% per annum from 1990-2000.
Other stock market investors have exceeded Buffett's record. The only difference is - Buffett is older has been around longer.
Another Myth Busted.
