Hi @thunderhead1 I am in the situation whereI have already almost paid off our home (we live in a cheaper regional area)and the idea is fairly simple in that if the market became cheap enough Iwould remortgage the house and use that equity to purchase shares. Mywife and I have a good credit history and as a result finance should beavailable to us at a reasonable rate. For this option to work I wouldwant prices cheaper than they are currently to offset the risk of going backinto debt and potentially having an unhappy wife if things didn’t work out aswell as expected. This is not an option I would take lightly, though it ismore palatable than a margin loan. Margin loans seem very dangerous to me because as the market falls youcould become a forced seller.
