That is rubbish atomou, you are far too quick to jump on the racist bandwagon. What redgreek detailed sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Reverse the situation and consider yourself moving to, say, Indonesia.

First, would you move there without having at least a cursory understanding of the language? Say you neglected to learn the local language and customs, and received flak about it. Would you not graciously accept that you could do more to integrate, or would you turn it back on the locals and claim them to be racist. I would certainly not have the audacity to go to another country and accuse locals of being racist, just because they prefer I integrated into their culture. What is so hard about integrating? I mean what is the problem, is it such a terrible thing to ask? Most importantly - why come to the country if you don't want to integrate?

Try going to some of the middle eastern countries and imposing western attitudes, see how far you get. I think middle eastern countries are well within their rights to regulate in this manner, to maintain their culture as they see fit. Apparently western countries are not afforded the same rights.

I apologise if I misinterpreted the point you were trying to make, but I think I know what you're getting at, as I've heard it many times before. Double standards irritate me.
