No one wants pensioners to live below the poverty line, pensioners without assets and savings should definitely get the pension, that's not the issue. The issue is pensioners with surplus assets receiving government money, it's just wrong, the only thing that makes it right is self interest. I would love to hear an argument that can convince me a person over the age of 65 with millions of dollars in assets should receive any welfare from the government? The same people with their greedy mouths in the trough are the ones that call out people on the dole actually living in financial stress, you have to love it lol
