Aged pensioners do not all get the same $$$$s as each other, as they are subjected to a means test, either an asset or income test may give them only a partial pension and its size is variable depending on their Means. A 50 year old unemployed would get a payment which has nothing to do with the $$$$s a particular pensioner would be paid, why should it? Now you are coming forth with the fact that you may be comparing apples with oranges but when you first posted you did not make that clear. Hence, no-one was able to give you an answer, but now Sherlock Holmes' s wife has done her best here. OK?
The dole is not Means Tested either. Perhaps it should be?
