My car is just on 10 years old now but it's got less than 100k on the clock, is well maintained imand being Japanese is reliable as heck.
I'm waiting for as long as possible before buying a new car as I want my next one to be an EV. This is only anecdotal but I know of a couple of friends thinking the same.
