No I’m just at not getting your angle as it seems what you would like to see is open slather on crown land whether it be leasehold or not. You see that’s a bit selfish imo as it disregards the rights of those who have leased it and made improvements to benefit all Australians. Those same pastoralists surely have right if access ? You don’t want them to have any say with that ? Never going to happen and rightly so. Those no trespassing signs beside the old milk barrel letter boxes are there for a very good reason. Surely you don’t think you should have the right to drive through in a 4wd with a few guns and shoot anything that moves ? That’s what would happen. The govt have swags of land to return soldiers after ww1, with the expectation of improvement and producing something , the same swags remained the property of the soldiers family to sell, your example isn’t any different . Other countries can’t be compared with oz, I’m sure we’d have full access to the South Pole too but that’s not a pastoral lease so cannot be compared.
