Rojo, wasn’t there another former military ( RAAF) survivor also involved, who was shot in the rear end?

In relation to identifying a person with certain facial features is rather difficult, even when you are face to face.

I’ve been involved in two incidents, one as recently as early December, being caught up in the pre- stage of a bank robbery happening.
I was observing this young bloke who was acting strangely for about 5 min or longer. The teller and I thought he was sick or doped up.
What I thought was strange, was him wearing a long sleeved shirt with one of his hand cupped up on a extremely hot day.
Suddenly, two police personnel stormed into the branch and instructed this chap to get onto the ground.
They found a long bladed knife up his sleeve.

On this occasion, I refused to give a witness statement due to a previous incident - 2008- and my experience dealings with QLD police.
I explained to them my reason for not giving them a statement, as a result of the 2008 incident.
Even thou the offender in the 2008 case tried to stab me, the only reason he was apprehended was due to my vague description about his slim build and face with black hair. It amounted to just giving an outline with no real details.

He was only apprehended because of my description about the colour of a singlet and the number 24 on the back of it.

Because the police and I couldn’t find the weapon, they crapped on to me, about having enough charges and due his previous record he would get a stiff sentence.
They managed to talk me into not mentioning the weapon in my witness statement!

I believe it was more to do with getting rid of a work order as quickly as possible and make stats look good!
The offender just got a slap on the wrist - the police were adamant that I shouldn’t attend his court appearance.

Even with the Dec incident I would have difficulty in giving a good facial description.

My neighbor was a former military policeman and mentioned that he was confronted with a similar experience to my Dec incident, and also had difficulties in identifying the offender correctly. His backup had described the offender with different facial features to him.

This neighbor continued working as an ASIC inspector chasing corporate criminals until his recent retirement.

So it is easy to make a conspiracy theory on facial recognition!
