Let me tell you a secret: "Rare" earth is not rare! It's just that not many countries would allow such a high risk industry to operate in their country, which limited the supply!

Alright, I guess by the time you read this part. You are itching to argue 1001 points on why rare earth industry is "safe".

Okay, for argument sake, lets assume technology advance today can magically turn Rare earth industry into a "safe" industry. Don't you think every country in this world would want to participate in churning out rare earth? Economy rule 101, tell me what will happen to the price of the rare earth if its supply increase?

Safe = supply increase, price drop, profit drop, eventually you lose
Not safe = cannot operate in malaysia, profit drop, you still lose

Any trapped shareholders here who desperately google "Malaysia News" everyday and had countless sleepless night?
