I think it would work well and supplement Victoria's horticultural industries as well by adding to the flow into the Murray Darling catchment.
Too late, the Tasmanians have already claimed it for themselves, they are putting in a new irrigation scheme in the cressy area using outflow water from the poatina hydroelectric station, apparently they have dreams to be the 'salad bowl' of Australia.
