The Super Funds must be making a killing on lending our stocks to bet against us. Polly, I cant get my head around how the super fund makes a killing, in that the super may make say 5% fee on the loan of the shares, which is a profit to the fund, however, when the shares are bought back (covered) and returned to the super fund 15% below the price at time of borrowing transaction, wouldn't that imply the super fund is 10% in the red on that security?

In order for the super fund to profit, they would need to play the same game and short the stock, and if that is possible, they would pay 5% fee negating the above 5% fee recieved, but ultimately profiting from the shorting strategy - WTF .
