Some interesting discussions and views, good thread (despite the title) and no mention of P word...

Finding a company with a great asset and poor management team is a fantastic opportunity just the same as finding one which is bloated and can cut costs IMHO. Some upside for SP with a new team if you think undervalued and under performing team.

I must admit I am sitting on the fence with this management's performance, on one hand they have been instrumental in proving up SNE, acquiring acreage, farming out to Petronas and SAMO drill on the plus side was professional, on time and under budget....some plus points for a small cap explorer.

On the other, they have failed miserably with these successes to generate any shareholder value (unless you were fortunate or skilled enough to sell out on SAMO potential pre results), they have become embroiled in messy legal issues that (IMHO with caveat, I'm no expert, don't have access to the info and therefore they have benefit of doubt) could have been handled better, Cap/Trace, DJ, Erin, COP/WPL, they are absolutely woeful shareholder communicators and it appears as if they are treating retail shareholders with disdain. 

I wouldn't be upset with some new blood or hopefully a takeover. I just want to see a financial return and/or news updates to see investment is progressing. No loyalty to management whatsoever - what is that anyway, paid by results, quite simply don't see any $$$ after 4/5 years!!
