You could also argue that the young in 1972 had no say in the failed experiment that was foisted on them - so your argument about the disenfranchised young holds no water. You are either old enough and entitled to vote or your not - simple as that. Your attitude to the 17 million voters who voted no is exactly the attitude the Brits are sick of.
