I don't care how much you make, $5000 free money is still $5000 free money. I agree it is a stupid idea, just like the first home owner grant and other cash bonus that may pop up. But seeing that the government is giving money away, explain to me why my wife and child are not worth the bonus because we will earn too much this year? Or other families that work hard.

The bonus was an incentive to have children. No one should need it or rely on it.
