quote "it is unlikely any of the proposed mines will ship their ores or concentrates through cairns.the port is simply not equipped for bulk mineral shipments and the time frames do not allow development of the scale or type needed."
there is now way coal shipments would go out of cairns,the railway can not take the loads down the kuranda range thru to cairns let alone to townsville.
