First Ore Fed To Wolfram Camp Treatment
Plant Ahead Of Schedule
Queensland Ores Limited (ASX Code: QOL) announces that the first ore
was fed to the Treatment Plant at its flagship Wolfram Camp Project this
week, one week ahead of schedule. The Company remains on target to
deliver the first shipment of concentrates in July.
Commissioning of the Treatment Plant will continue during May and the
first half of June. The various sections of the Plant will be brought on-line
in accordance with the commissioning plan.
The Company’s Managing Director Taff Greenwood confirmed today that
all elements of the project remain on track for the first shipment of
concentrates from the project in July. Mr Greenwood was at the tungsten
and molybdenum rich Wolfram Creek site, 90 km west of Cairns, as the
first ore was tipped into the primary crusher.
“This milestone has been achieved less than six months after the granting
of the Mining Leases in November last year and despite record rainfall
over the wet season,” Mr Greenwood said.
“The achievement is testimony to the ability of our management team to
take projects from exploration into production,” he said.
“For a mine rich in history this will mark the commencement of a new era
at a time of very favourable international prices for specialty metals like
tungsten and molybdenum.”
