    I'm not a builder, but I suspect the answers to questions about expansion joints for brick/block walls in Australia is found in this document if carefully read.

    Again not a builder, but I would have thought that a careful look at the end profile of the HX laying head will reveal that the width of the laying head will mean that is cannot lay two bricks/blocks parallel to each other to comply with a 50mm cavity as described in this document at the top of page 49.

    I should add.
    Living in a Brick Veneer house built by AV Jennings that is 18 years old. There are expansion joints.
    No cracks in brick work after 18 years. The slab itself was poorly done. But the brick work is excellent.
