With SOI 2.9B, it is a hard to believe that AMP can go to $1 and that translates to only 2.9B mc. This scenario is unlikely to happen unless AMP decides to spin off more business units but the board so far will retain the rest after insurance sale.
AMP Wealth management worth $3B fair value and AMP Bank & Capital combine another $3B. Add NZ and other units, AMP probably sits at $7B mc.
Mr market (and so we the shareholders) anticipates De Ferrari to improve the performance on its Wealth management and banking division. Considering AMP Wealth management is their jewel, it is not suprising why De Ferrari has been pouched to lead the team.
