All articles are biased. I have read many articles and papers on how GDP is calculated in lots of countries along with the difficulty of actually measuring it accurately in the OECD, let alone developing countries. And then we try and compare one countries to another? Hey, even Italy and UK decided to include prostitution and drug use to grow their GDP for budget deficit reasons. There is no right or wrong way and all we can do is try to work to a global standard to make comparisons worthwhile.
In this case we get so hung up on whether China is growing at 6.4% or 6.8% and it can move markets when in reality China's figure just like everyone elses has a 'political adjustment' built in. There are other measures that I like to look at as a preference but thats for another day.
