    I have no problem with a party dumping a leader if it improves their prospects, in the case of Gillard and Abbott the evidence was there to suggest the parties prospects would improve if they where removed and replaced with Rudd and Turnbull respectively and polling did show that was the case.

    But there was nothing to suggest LNP position would improve if Turnbull was removed, but there was evidence it would be a bad move and hence I was predicting it would be political suicide. Turns out I was right.

    Delcons here had a big grudge with Turnbull and wanted him gone, now he is gone they are complaining about the prospect of a labor government with Shorten as PM. As they say, careful what you wish for
