I think a more complete picture would involve also considering the following points.

Peter Johnson wouldn't be an independent director because his father owns lots of shares.

Bob Johnson want's to use "carbon pulp" I think that means cyanide to extract the gold from the tailings. That would (I think ) involve a much higher level of investment and permitting. I have my doubts a case could be made for that investment.

When Bob ran the company he did have his failures. He span out 2 companies Curnamona Energy and Geothermal Resources that eventually lost most of their capital.

He had a deal with Glencore to do a due diligence on Kalkaroo. As best I recollect they were to get half of their investment back in shares if they withdrew. Unfortunately they did withdraw and were able to claim 3 times the share block that we had been led to expect. It amounted to 12% of the company . If Bob had employed expert commercial people to prepare the contract that might would not have happened.
At the time the vitriol on Hot Copper was as bad as it is now.

You can verify my statements by googling say "Glencore ,Havilah" or "Havilah Geothermal"

Little gold companies that don't mine as successfully as their prospectus are quite common, OGX is a recent example.
YOU DON'T INVEST ANY MONEY IN A MINING JUNIOR YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO LOOSE .

Hav seems to have an amateur culture for things like running a gold mill or writing a commercial contract. The way to work around this is a wide range of experience on the board.
