Well it's finally happened!...the merger is approved and some reality is returning to the market for our shares. The buying opportunity that was in evidence may be fast disappearing, but for those of us that are loaded up it is pleasing to sit back and watch the action.

Newcopperco's future looks very rosy to me and I am hoping to see some of the negativity on the CUO board disappear as management get on with developing our world class assets.

I attended the CUO meeting and left very satisfied that there is a well developed strategy, not all of which could be disclosed, but that will see a strong growth trajectory established. The merger should also see some rationalisation of assets and reduced overheads. I guess if I have one uncertainty it is about the timetable for activities other than operational matters like mine development. But I am sure it will emerge once the merger is bedded down.
