I spoke to Steve this afternoon. Quite easy to talk to and a good communicator. He said that while they would have loved to have hit some higher grade ore with the drilling they did, its not uncommon to miss the target with only three holes He said BHP drilled 27 holes before identifying the huge deposit at Olympic Dam. He also said that they do not plan to put significant exploration dollars in without either finding a partner or doing a raising - so they are not going to fritter away the dividend money chasing a dream.
