I know this has little relevance to this thread but I just wanted to mention that yesterday I went to the Centro in Bankstown. Not only was their no parking available but it took around 5 minutes to even get into the car park due to the traffic. We had to park a block away to get in. Once we got entered we noticed that on top of all the other established retailers in there Myer had just opened up the night before. There were thousands of people spending their money everywhere. I have been going here for the last 5 years and it just keeps getting busier and busier. I also went up to information to ask if there were any leasing opportunities and was advised that they had no shops for lease. All this in south west Sydney where it is said that the economic downturn will be felt most. I know that this is only 1 of 700 centers however one can only hope that the others are just as successful.
