Phone bans in schools, page-8

I wouldn’t have bought a Spacetalk watch if it had social media functionality. But that was not really my question. Your assuming that a school principal will make policy based on the difference.

No no so it seems. At my daughters school my daughter and the two other girls in her class with Spacetalk watches, out of a class of 25, have been told not to wear them at school. Even explaining that the watch has no social media function has made no difference.

Bans on smart phones is  a new policy here and a couple locations overseas and new policies sometimes collect innocent bystanders along the way and this is what might be happening here.

The watch is great and 3/25 is more than 10% penetration so parents clearly like the watch.

My daughter is at a non government school which has a ban on smartphones which includes internet connected watches.

Are parents of kids at NSW state primary schools experiencing anything similar?

My wife expects to be able to talk to the principal on Tuesday evening. Any pursuasing arguments anyone?
