A lot of very well off retires may also be affected. Those with large super balances.I understand your argument re some full and part time pensioners but there is also a large percentage of people who are extreamly asset rich but income poor on a part pension due to generous asset tests( I used to work for Centrelink so have experienced this first hand on Sydneys North Shore) . I believe Labor have plans to offset some of the missed tax refunds with pension adjustments for the more needy pensioners.And believe they have some policies that affect downsizes in a positive way.
We will agree to disagree on this proposed legislation.
I also like their idea on negative gearing, and that's coming from a property investor with 2 investment properties( us property investors have had the snout in the trough too long).
