marzipan9.I have seen this picture before, and after considering it for some time noticed that the slag that can be seen on the cut is completely intact, now for it to remain intact with 100s of floors of debris falling on it seems to me to be most unlikely. If you have ever done any arc welding you will know that the slag produced chips off relatively easy. The slag in the picture looks fresh and undisturbed. More likely the cleanup crews have cut these beams after the collapse. This is not to say that I think the 9-11 incident was not a set up. I think the truth will come out, and hope the real perpetrators are punished who ever they may be.
