not sure if this has been mentioned. i went through the past ann again. (cause i am crazy or have bad memory or both.)
the original POSCO investment was for 80k LOM, increasing to 240ktpa if the 30kt LCE hydroxide plant goes ahead.
since stage 1 and 2 is now all spoken for annnnnd they want to increase the plant to 40kt LCE thereby increasing it to 315ktpa just to POSCO alone.
this means if they press "GO" button on the POSCO JV, the korean banks might have to bankroll the stage 3 expansion !!
its not even a maybe cause all the offtakes in place are for 6-10 years with option at the moment, which means they are forced to go stage 3 regardless.
anyone know teh pricing mechanism for POSCO btw ??
