My gut feeling is that Parse is not dead, it will need to rely on consented data, of which there will be plenty? Just a hunch. But I see the furore over selling data as similar to the Hayne banks et al enquiry, changes will be made and the model for the sound businesses will continue in similar fashion as before. Maybe someone with expertise can comment on this.
