Market manipulation laws dont apply to bots because  - share price manipulation is a criminal offense and as such the corporation act laws only permit a company or asic taking legal action against the manipulators for violating section 1041a of the corporations act.  For example here is an article about the manipulation problems. https://tdu.to/m/257059/the-unspoken-crimes-of-the-asx-part-6 since it is the unlucky mum and dad investors who lose the most, the want to take legal action but cant because the law rotects tje manipulators.  They need to turn it into a civil matter and then it could happen. Or some directors need to take the manipulators to court on behalf of shareholders.
