anyway the reality is most govts get at least 2 terms, so deploy talent where it can be utilised now...Libs need to rebuild, so clean out the Fed party and get young blood in, use some of the old blood to provide acceptable alternative leaders at state level which I bet voters in NSW (Joe Hockey) and WA (Julie Bishop), Qld (Mal Brough) are crying out for.
As for Victoria I am sure Costello would see it as beneath him.
